Bryunzeel-Sakura

Bryunzeel-Sakura is a company from the Netherlands founded in

1948 when the government asked the Zaandam lumber company to manufacture pencils

because it was not possible to bring them from a Germany devastated by war.

In 1997 it was acquired by the Japanese group Sakura Color Products Corporation.

In 2016, Sakura transferred the Bryunzeel-Sakura brand to Royal Talens, which was founded

more than 100 years ago and had been part of the group since 1991.

Today, Bryunzeel pencils are the distinctive brand of Holland, now the Netherlands.
