This special edition pencil is the fifth entry in the Blackwing Eras series, which pays homage to Blackwing's heritage with designs inspired by the unique history of Blackwing 602.

The Blackwing Eras pencil (2024 edition) has a retro design inspired by the Microtomic 603. Each special edition pencil features a deep blue body, silver printing and ferrule, a pink eraser, and its signature soft (4B) graphite.

In 2020, they launched their first Eras pencil to celebrate 10 years of the Blackwing revival with a design directly inspired by the 1930s. In 2021, they released their second Eras pencil as a tribute to the Palomino pencils that inspired the Blackwing revival. Then, in 2022, they honored the arrow-pierced ferrule found on Blackwing pencils in the mid-20th century. In 2023, they released the fourth edition with a design inspired by the Van Dyke 601.
